Timber Framing Workshop – slight date change.  Please note that we are slightly changing the dates for our 3-day May Timber Framing for the Rest of Us workshop, pushing it three days forward to Monday, May 22nd through Wednesday, May 24th. The reason for this change is to make it easier for people who want to combine the Timber Framing workshop with our Cordwood Masonry workshop, which remains at May 26-28, Memorial day week-end.  You can use the day off (May 25th) to visit Montreal, Lake Champlain or Lake Placid … or just relax at Earthwood.

New PV panels. We have just installed 6 new (well, used, really) 175-watt PV panels,1050 watts total, just about doubling our output for our off-the-grid battery storage electrical system. Thanks to good friend Doug Kerr for spending a couple of days helping us do all the various connections with the new equipment.  This should make a big difference to our production during this “dark quarter” of the year, when we make much less solar electric power, but use so much more.

We will be away…  from December 22 to January 5th. We will handle book orders and registrations as soon as we get back, on January 5th or 6th.
